Gallery 2 Graphite Drawings

I love graphite drawings, I love their straight forwardness, their simplicity and elegance. I love doing them!
Here are some of my graphite drawings. Some I did a year or so ago and some are more recent.
This first one is called "Burning Down the House". I was inspired by an old photo of a building burning, I added the little arsonist of course. This one is sold.

This one is done from the front thinking part, not like the cloud gazing subconscious part of my brain.
This next one is an example of the cloud gazing subconscious type that I mentioned. It's called "Religion Deceived"

This next one is the first time I tried to use the cloud gazing technique. (more on that later)
It's called "The Collective" and illustrates one of the things that bothers me, too much interconnectedness, not enough individual privacy.
It's a trap!

This next one is called "The Pinch"
It's about sexual abuse.
In the drawing, one man is asking the other, "Is she asleep...pinch her, pincher her again."
not a lot more to say about it.
This next one was inspired by an old WW2 photo of a group of young people all wearing gas masks.
It's called, "The Gas Mask People". It sold last year.
here are the 5 new graphite pieces I mentioned in the post. today's date, Friday, March 2, 2012
I'm not sure what to call this one, for now it's called "The Beast"
here's "Moon in the Water" that I talked about in the post.
and also "Wedding Flight"
This next one is called, "It Fell to Earth With a Sound Like Screaming"
This one is called "Mutations"  I'll try and add more as time goes by and as I finish more pieces.
